Entertainment Reviews:
3.5 stars out of 4 -- While extremely funny, it is a bitter and ruthless film. Lanthimos plays target practice and his aim is deadly.
RogerEbert.com
Rating: 3.5/5 --
It's certainly a film worth pondering and discussing, even if its tone is unsettling. And for the record: I'd be a dolphin.

It’s a wondrously silly premise, and one that Lanthimos, not unlike those great cine-surrealists Luis Buñuel and Charlie Kaufman before him, executes with rigorous illogic and immaculate formal control.
Los Angeles Times
Rating: B+ --
It's a razor-sharp dark comedy that is sure to alienate some audience members while utterly fascinating others.

Bowling Green Daily News
Rating: 4/5 --
The claustrophobia of these airless worlds has been at times amusing but often stifling. However, with The Lobster Lanthimos has broadened his scope and has created a marvellously bleak, bizarre comedy.

Entertainment Weekly
You haven't seen anything like The Lobster before. Everything you expect from your experience of watching films and reading books and from your understanding of human emotions is turned upside down with emphatic elan.

Product Description:
After his wife leaves him, David (Colin Farrell) is sent to a hotel for single adults and urged to find a new significant other within 45 days -- if he fails, he will be transformed into an animal of his choosing. David eventually meets a runaway from the hotel (Rachel Weisz), and the two begin a secret romance. Léa Seydoux, Jessica Barden, Olivia Colman, Ben Whishaw, and John C. Reilly co-star. This absurdist dystopian comedy is the first English-language feature from Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos, and was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
