It's so beautifully designed and everything looks like it's from a storybook.

The story is heartwarming but never cloying, and the fanciful sets and Miller's stylized direction make it a fun watch for adults, too. -- Grade: A-
Entertainment Weekly
The audience isn't coddled, and the film doesn't talk down to anyone. We are, all of us, subjects to unbearable emotions, and Pig in the City is a rare film that more or less encompasses all of them.

Has no small amount of merit, especially in the areas of production and costume design, but... [not] in any meaningful way a successful or even appropriate follow-up.

It's a bracing shot of inspiration: the darker it gets, the more important kindness becomes. It could've been made yesterday.

Product Description:
This sequel to the critically acclaimed original picture might not have been quite the pig at the box office that its predecessor was, but it was one of 1998's most charming, entertaining works. This family-friendly adventure takes the oinker of the title, along with Ferdy and Mrs. Hoggett, beyond the confines of the farm's fences and into the great wide world. It's up to the trio to save the farm, and they just might be able to do it. James Cromwell returns to the role of the farmer, and George Miller (HAPPY FEET) directs.
