Austrian theater director Walter Felsenstein conceived this production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's four-act opera buffe Die Hochzeit des Figaro, but died prior to its eventual launch in July 1976, at Berlin's Komische Oper. It stars Uwe Kreyssig as Count Almaviva, Jozsef Dene as Figaro and Ursula Reinhardt-Kiss as Susanna. The Chorus and Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin provide musical accompaniment, with Geza Oberfrank conducting.
