Rating: 1/4 -- There are so many characters we never get involved. We can't even keep them straight. The writers never solved the problem of incorporating the top-heavy special effects into their thin little plot. Full Review

Product Description:

This documentary package chronicles, in epic scope, the many and varied aspects of one of the most legendary conflicts of World War II, The Battle of Britain. It begins with a look at the battle itself, as a pair of pilots (one Allied and one Nazi) reflect on their raids in the British skies, before moving into an exploration of the conflict's impact on the London citizenry ("Battle of London"), a examination of Nazi Germany's development of weapons of mass destruction ("V.I.!"), a documentary reflection on the heroism of ordinary British citizens ("London Can Take It!"). The package then moves into a segment entitled "Attack Air" - a look at the WWII superpowers' gradual honing of attack aviation into a lethal art form - and another titled "Defenders of the Reich," about the Nazis' attempted use of the Luftwaffe to dominate the world - plans permanently upset when the Allies joined the battle for control of the European skies.
