Blessed with a remarkable singing voice, Charles won the Metropolitan Opera auditions in 1959 and went on to perform at the White House and toured Russia with the Ed Sullivan Show. On this classic album recorded in 1959, Charles presents a program of traditional Hawaiian music. All selections have been newly remastered.
