At age 17, Bruce Prince-Joseph was appointed as chancel organist at the famed St. Patrick Cathedral in New York City. Within a decade, he became lead organist, harpsichordist and pianist for Leonard Bernstein's New York Philharmonic, a position he held for over two decades. He made more than 100 recordings, and in 1965 was nominated for a Grammy award for an album of Bach Sonatas performed on harpsichord. Presented here is his classic 1957 album, "Swingin' Harpsichord."
