Pink Rabbit is gently moving, it does not hide from the Holocaust but it does remind us hope persists...[it is] as wistful as memory, it's in the warm muted color palette, the andante pacing, and the characters who are near and still just out of reach. Full Review

Product Description:

This semi-autobiographical drama is based on the novel WHEN HITLER STOLE PINK RABBIT by Judith Kerr. Set in Berlin in 1933, nine-year-old Anna (Riva Krymalowski) must follow her famous Jewish journalist father Arthur Kemper (Oliver Masucci) and the rest of her family as they flee Germany for Zurich, attempting to escape the Nazis. Leaving behind both toys and friends, the narrative is told from Anna's point of view as she experiences the horrors of Hitler's regime through the eyes of a child. Directed by Caroline Link. Co-starring Marinus Hohmann and Carla Juri.
