At the very least, it achieves the baseline desire of a horror reboot: it's fun, it's scary, and it doesn't trample all over a legacy.

Child's Play isn't going to win any Oscars, but it's a film that you're going to have a lot of fun with. There are laugh-out-loud moments, completely idiotic sections, plenty of creepiness and of course, our beloved Chucky.

Product Description:
Single mom Karen Barclay (Aubrey Plaza) gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi Doll, an AI-driven smart doll that has an unlimited learning ability and could integrate into a house's smart home system, for his birthday. Upon receiving the doll, Andy names him Chucky (voiced by Mark Hamill) and soon enough, a series of violent acts ensues. Detective Mike Norris (Brian Tyree Henry) investigates the string of mysterious murders and slowly uncovers the doll's sinister nature. The 2019 reimagining of the horror classic is directed by Lars Klevberg.
