Movie Lovers' Ratings & Reviews:
Based on 30 ratings.
Either of these movies is worth the price. But, when put together, it really is a "no brainer"! The better of the two is the follow-up to the original "Dracula", Dracula's Daughter. The screenplay by Garrett Fort is very well written with some memorable lines. It is directed by Lambert Hillyer. He also directed the under-rated The Invisible Ray starring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi the same year (1936) as this movie. Starring Gloria Holden as the "Daughter", Otto Kruger as Jeffrey Garth, the beautiful Marguerite Churchill as his assistant Janet, and the talented character actor Edward Van Sloan reprising his role as Prof Von Helsing. This movie starts exactly where Dracula ended, same set/setting, with Renfield and Dracula both dead by various methods and takes off from there. All in all a great film and a great double bill!
It is one of the best horror movies made. And I love Lon Chaney Jr. in it. I suggest that everybody who loves old horror movies sees it. It's worth it!
