Rating: C+ -- Though A Night In Old Mexico won't be Duvall's last screen performance, it's as fitting a farewell as he's likely to get. Full Review

It's fairly plain that "A Night in Old Mexico" is a vehicle for Duvall, and as such it's thoroughly enjoyable; watching him is a genuine treat.

Rating: 2/4 -- The movie doesn't have the same kind of emotional depth that Duvall and Wittliff managed to pull off decades ago. Worse, the dialogue often sounds stilted. Full Review

This poky, clichéd, slackly told picture, directed by Emilio Aragón, would've felt dated a few decades ago; now it feels like a downright relic. Full Review

Red's personal journey remains a fun ride, a feat due as much to Duvall as to the script, but Gally's own coming of age portion of the tale falls flat. Full Review

Product Description:

In the wake of losing his land and home, aging Texas rancher Red Bovie (Academy Award winner Robert Duvall) rebels by gassing up his classic Cadillac, and crossing the border into Mexico with his estranged grandson Gally (Jeremy Irvine) to raise some hell. Later, Red and Gally are joined by Patty (Angie Cepeda), a pretty stranger in desperate need of a brighter future. Trouble arises, however, when the trio cross paths with three dangerous and unpredictable men (Luis Tosar, Jim Parrack, and Joaquín Cosío).
