Product Description:
In 1958, years before the white British blues boom, singer/harmonica player Sonny Terry and singer/guitarist Brownie McGhee were among the very first authentic American blues musicians to visit England and reach a wider audience in the UK. They did a number of recordings for Pye Records, including two full sessions on which Chris Barber's Jazz Band backed them. Originally issued on two LPs (Sonny, Brownie and Chris and Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee in London) plus an EP (The Bluest), these 25 sides-unavailable for more than a dozen years-are back in circulation on this single CD! Jasmine.
