Product Description:

Four films and an early television show separately featuring members of the Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, and Sammy Davis, Jr.), each described below:

AT WAR WITH THE ARMY (1950) - Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis join the army and immediately get into a load of trouble on a military training base in this song-&-dance comedy. Highlights include a sequence involving a recalcitrant soda machine, Jerry Lewis performing "The Navy Gets the Gravy But the Army Gets the Beans," and the team's impersonation of the Bing Crosby-Barry Fitzgerald characters from the classic film GOING MY WAY.

SUDDENLY (1954) - A tense, somewhat prescient drama in which Frank Sinatra plays a psychopathic sharpshooter hired to kill the United States President; he and his two partners take over a widow's house, which is perfectly situated for an ambush. After Kennedy's assassination, the film was shelved.

ROYAL WEDDING (1951) - Dancing and romance collide in ROYAL WEDDING as a brother-sister dance team (Fred Astaire and Jane Powell) open their musical show in London shortly before the English royal wedding. This is the one in which Astaire dances on the ceiling. Peter Lawford plays his sister's suitor.

THE HOUSE I LIVE IN (1945) - The famous Oscar-winning short subject in which a young Sinatra counsels a gang of street kids not to resent neighbors with foreign-sounding names because "we're all Americans." The sentiment packs even more of a punch today than it did then.

BONUS TV EPISODE (1954) - Legendary young performer Sammy Davis, Jr. appears on an episode of the early television variety show "The Colgate Comedy Hour" when he was still part of a team with vaudevillians Sammy Davis, Sr. and Will Mastin.
