On Episode 1: Above and Beyond Loyalty - viewers meet a young competitor and her border collie at the English National Sheepdog Trials, and meet a German shepherd who alerted police when his family's home was on fire. On Episode 2: Myth and Reality - researchers examine dogs that are able to detect changes in human emotions and explore the meaning behind a dog's bark. Also, we meet a miniature Schnauzer able to detect the impending death of seniors in a nursing home.
