The Torchlighters: The Jim Elliot Story

Designed for a pre-teen audience, this animated religious program aims to educate young people about God's role in the lives of his followers. Heavily involved in religion since his early days as a child, missionary martyr Jim Elliot made it his goal to spread God's teachings with those who'd never read the bible. Determined to bring the "torch of faith" to the defensive and private people of Ecuador's Acua Tribe, Elliot had to find ways to break down cultural barriers and to present himself as a friend rather than an enemy. The first of the TORCHLIGHTERS series, this entertaining program follows Elliot's adventures from his college days on through his unceasing bravery in the Ecuadorian jungle.
