Entertainment Reviews:
Product Description:
ENCLOSURE 7, the final towering entry in the series assembled by Philip Blackburn in accordance, as much as possible, with Harry Partch's wishes, consists of five brilliant short films by the artist. Partch is an American icon, a guru-like figure to many, who made many of his own instruments, which had exotic names like the Zymo Xyl, and the Quadrangular Reversum, and which conformed to a unique 43-tones-to-the-octave scale. Partch was by turns a hobo, a musicologist, a prankster, a visionary, and a bit of a poet, and these films provide a revealing look into his unique world. The illuminating shorts collected here are "Revelation in the Courthouse Park," "The Dreamer That Remains," "Bonus Album," "Making Rose Petal Jam," and "Delusion of the Fury."
