Set in the backdrop of 1900s Australia, three school girls and their teacher vanish while on a day trip to the mystical Hanging Rock. Caught between the school, the local community and her own demons, headmistress Mrs. Appleyard (Natalie Dormer) must try to decipher dreams from reality as the mystery plays out.
