The 1950s are notable for the number of first class vocalists that emerged during that period. Among them was Teresa Brewer. She was born Teresa Veronica Breuer on the 7th of May 1931 and having a long illustrious career which started at the age of two, she quickly rose to fame with a string of pop hits. During the fifties she embraced the medium of jazz and this CD concentrates on her singing in that idiom with many of the finest jazz musicians including The Dixieland All Stars and Dick Jacobs And His Orchestra which featured Yank Lawson, Urbie Green, Bill Stegmeyer and Boomie Richman among others. This CD represents a treat for both her pop fans and jazz aficionados alike.
