You can elaborate on his place in history via montage as much as you want, but by the time the credits roll we still have no idea who he is or what he wants. As a result, he's as bland as movie monsters go and that is not a good thing.

Slender Man essentially feels like a movie created from a how-to guide to horror. Step one: apply drab color palette with hazy blues, greens, and neutrals. Step 2: make sure all set pieces look like generic, creepy locations.

The movie is pretty bad, so if you have limited money, I wouldn't go throwing it at the Slender Man movie that Sony meddled with. Why did they do this?
