Entertainment Reviews:
Description by OLDIES.com:
THE JAZZ BAND LEADER (1913): Prissy clarinetist Ford Sterling has his band play a sketchy vaudeville show to impress an angelic Mabel Normand. As hard as it may be to believe, true film historians believe this short contains the first pie-in-the-face gag in movie history. Retitled from That Ragtime Band.
A SANITARIUM SCANDAL (1917): Bathing beauties crash a formerly quiet sanitarium, inevitably causing the buttoned-down staff to go girl crazy.
ALL IS FAIR (1920): A one-reel cutdown of Married to Order, with Charley Chase trying to win over the daughter of a disapproving Oliver Hardy. Despite playing the middle-aged father of 28-year old Rosemary Theby, "Babe" Hardy was only 26 at the time of filming.
FAMILY LIFE (1924): After the Duff family are kicked out of their house, they have a go at living it rough - but wind up helping the police catch a crook instead.
