Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 3/5 --
Director Joe Wright and screenwriter Deborah Moggach have done an adequate job in cutting Austen's material down to size, allowing time for the secondary tales to develop while never losing sight of the all-pervading romance.

This movie was stuffy, boring, cumbersome and all around annoying to me.

oe Wright should be applauded for delivering a vividly realised Austen adap -- one which confirms Knightley has graduated from the Jackie Bisset of the '00s to this decade's Julie Christie.
Empire Magazine
Keira's cat-smile suggests such supernal all-knowingness that, with Austen's adapted dialogue (via Deborah Moggach) tripping off her tongue, she comes off as an eighteenth-century Maureen Dowd.

Joe Wright reformulates the period piece into a delightful modern take. [Full Review in Spanish]

It's a fitfully engaging romance, it's just not Pride and Prejudice.

Over-familiar material gets innovative, yet faithful, treatment from Joe Wright in this lovely little adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'.

Product Description:
Elizabeth Bennett (Kam Heskin) studies at Brigham Young University, where she has no time or tolerance for romance. Will Darcy (Orlando Seale) is a successful businessman. The two are a likely match, but their first terrible encounter clouds their perceptions of each other. Meanwhile, ladies man Jack Wickam (Henry Maguire) misrepresents his true motive and gains ground in Elizabeth's affections. This Mormon version of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE offers a modern day spin on Jane Austen's timeless novel. Though not overtly religious, basic issues of the Mormon Church find their way into the story line.
