Rating: 2/4 -- While Cold Souls has high ambitions, it falls a little flat. Whether the screenplay or the performances create the letdown, the film undeniably drags. Full Review

'Cold Skin' is not for faint of heart. But it's pure cinematic art. Full Review

Gens and Spanish cinematographer Daniel Aranyó do great work capturing the majestic beauty and inherent danger of the island and some of the action scenes are pulse-pounding, but those elements can't overcome the didactic "us vs them" narrative. Full Review

Product Description:

Director Xavier Gens's action-horror film unfolds on a desolate island near the Antarctic Circle in 1914. A young Irish man (David Oakes) arrives to assume his duties as a meteorologist. Instead, he finds himself alone in a watchtower, forced to defend it from numerous hostile amphibious creatures that besiege it each night. His only source of company on the island is a mysterious caretaker with questionable ethics.
