Foyle's War - The German Woman

FOYLE'S WAR is a drama series that boasts a marriage of history and fictional mystery. Actor Michael Kitchen stars in the title role of Christopher Foyle, an English police inspector who fights local crimes in an environment riddled with war propaganda and social turmoil. In this episode, "The German Woman," the body of the Austrian wife of a local magistrate is found adjacent to a tree painted with a swastika symbol. Foyle's job is to cut through the crowded list of suspects who all happen to be residents in the small town of Sussex.
