Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 3/5 --
It's certainly entertaining, but it was also kind of dumb. A mindless action film that you watch to just put something on. To take this movie literally [in a political sense] is nonsense...

Medium Popcorn
There are a handful of thrilling, suspenseful sequences like the first shootout in the field and some hand-to-hand combat.

[N]ever has politics played such an intrinsic and motivating thematic role in the yarn as it does in THE HUNT.
Hollywood Reporter
Zobel proves just the director to execute such a tight, well-oiled shock-a-thon.

Rating: 3/5 --
The Hunt is a familiar kill-or-be-killed thriller that is strangely top-heavy in the killing department. Normally, that'd be a mark against it. But it's precisely when the film gets rid of everyone except Gilpin that it starts cooking.

Student Edge
The question of what games the film is playing-shifting realities and relegating performances inside performances-is much more interesting than anything the humans are up to.

The only thing more deadly here than the bullets are the bullet points flying at you so fast, so furiously.

Product Description:
Director Craig Zobel's satirical horror-thriller is based on Richard Connell's 1924 short story "The Most Dangerous Game." The film stars Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, Ethan Suplee, Ike Barinholtz, and Hilary Swank. Twelve strangers wake up to find themselves in a remote and deserted clearing, at the mercy of a group of globalist elites who have gathered to hunt them down for sport. One woman (Gilpin) fights ferociously for her life, eventually turning the tables on the hunters.
