Punctuating the film’s placid surface are mysterious touches of magical realism.

Rating: B -- Under the direction of Stéphane Lafleur, this Québécois comedy takes on an air of wondrous restlessness in its minor ambitions. Full Review

Rating: 7.5/10 -- Tu Dors Nicole adds up to something pleasurably off-beat, a funny take on the coming-of-age film. Its quirks surprisingly entertain rather than grate or annoy, largely because of Lafleur's assured direction and Mishara's gorgeous cinematography. Full Review

3.5 stars out of 4 -- Stéphane Lafleur’s great TU DORS NICOLE is a remarkable tonal balancing act in such a way that it’s difficult to figure out how he pulls it off. It is both light as a feather and emotionally resonant.

Product Description:

Over one sweltering Quebec summer, an aimless twentysomething (Julianne Cote) bides her time minding her parents' home while they're away, clashes with her brother (Marc-Andre Grondin) and the members of his band recording a demo in the living room, and weathers the advances of a baritone-voiced ten-year-old (Godefroy Reding) who's besotted with her.
