When phony $10 bills flood the country, the Treasury Department recognizes the work of imprisoned counterfeiter Eugene Deane (Morris Ankrum), a master engraver who smuggled the plates out of his San Quentin cell. Assigned to take down the ring, undercover agent John Riggs (Don DeFore) follows the money trail to a Los Angeles hotel, where he romances manager Nora Craig (Andrea King), the next link in the chain.
