Product Description:
A career-driven newspaper editor embarks on a treacherous canoe trip with his adopted teenage son in this drama celebrating the power of family. Steve Faulkner was always too caught up in his job to be a very good father. But when Steven loses his job at one of Michigan's most prestigious newspapers, his 17-year-old son senses one last chance to bond before he leaves for college. As the pair set out on a 1,000 mile journey to retrace the discovery route of the Mississippi in a canoe, Steven begins to realize just how much he'd been missing by neglecting his family. Later, when the waters start to get rough, Steve and his son must work together as never before in order to survive. In the process, both men discover something they've been missing all along.
