Impex Records marks the 35th anniversary of Jennifer Warnes' iconic audiophile masterpiece with an unparalleled edition of Famous Blue Raincoat, utilizing the prestigious Impex 1STEP process. This definitive production is a result of our close collaboration, ensuring authenticity and superior quality. The final lacquers, meticulously cut by Bernie Grundman, signify the last use of Jennifer's original analog mixdown master tapes, which will then be securely archived. Embracing Grundman's expertise, we access the first-generation analog mixdown tapes, derived from the initial digital recordings, for an extraordinary mastering experience via the 1STEP process on a tube-cutting lathe at BG Mastering. The outcome is a trio of LPs pressed on VR-900 super vinyl by RTI, designed to capture every intricate detail of this revered recording.

The set includes three 45rpm, 180-gram LPs, ensuring optimal sound quality.
