Noted psychologist Dr. Amanda Tyler (Denise Richards) tries to understand the origins of violent behavior via a lengthy interview with convicted murderer and death-row inmate Jackson Shea (Kaiwi Lyman-Mersereau). As Tyler learns more about Shea's personal history and the circumstances that led him to become the man he is today, she grapples with whether he should receive a stay of execution.
