The colors are vibrant, the lighting and shadows can be quite dramatic and the mere idea of Will Smith as an annoyed pigeon is good for a laugh.

Rating: C+ -- "Spies in Disguise" is notable for its anti-violence stance but elsewhere operates like a hybrid of other animated movies you've seen, part "The Incredibles," part "The Secret Life of Pets," and 100 percent skippable. Full Review

No one could deny the impressive weirdness of SPIES IN DISGUISE's premise. -- Grade: B

The movie’s finale, with its panoply of glitter bombs and oversize 'awww'-inspiring flying cat GIFs, well-timed by the directors Troy Quane and Nick Bruno, works up some undeniable charm.
