Description by OLDIES.com:

This British World War II drama stars David Niven as Lieutenant Jim Perry, a seasoned soldier posted to the Duke of Gordons Light Infantry to train new recruits, a diverse and disgruntled group of men with little respect for the Lieutenant. Eventually they come to respect their commanding officer's experience and the unit is shipped out to North Africa to face up to Rommel's troops.
