Product Description:
Pittsburgh native and soul singer Tommy Hunt began his recording career in 1953. After being spotted performing in a Chicago club by Zeke Carey of The Flamingos, Hunt was asked to take the recently drafted Carey's place in the now legendary band. Hunt stayed on with The Flamingos after Carey's return but left in 1960 to pursue a solo career. Hunt was the first to record Burt Bacharach and Hal David's "I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself" in 1962, which later became a major hit for Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick and others. The legendary producer Jerry Williams Jr. (better known as Swamp Dogg) recorded Hunt many years later and released the often overlooked album "Until My Arms Fall Off" in 1996 on one of his boutique labels. Besides writing the majority of the songs on the album, Swamp Dogg also plays keyboards and provides background vocals. All selections have been newly remastered.
