Description by OLDIES.com:
Whenever Jack (John Gilbert) sets anchor in London, the rowdy seaman heads off to see Joan (Leila Hyams), a shipping clerk who wants nothing to do with a sailor. Pretending he intends to settle down, Jack and Joan are happily married, until he admits he told her a lie and she leaves him to start a new life. Getting a job on an ocean liner, Jack shows his true mettle when a storm threatens to sink all aboard -- including Joan, who's a passenger on the ship.
