Product Description:

My name is Brett Alan Schmitz. I use the name Brett Alan as my stage name. I want to first thank the CRB Band. Although I wrote each of these songs, I would not have been able to make this CD without the contributions of their musical talents. I appreciate the dedication, creativity, commitment and the gift of time each of them gave to this project. This CD has truly been a labor of love. I hope the words and music here can touch a heart, bring a smile or a laugh and maybe even some tears because that is what music does. Music is such a powerful thing for me. It can heal just as easily as it can open up wounds. It can make you cry just as easily it can make you laugh. I thank God for music and for the ability he has given me to create some of my own. The song 'That Guy' is a very special song to me on this album. I am prior military myself, serving 3 years with the 10th Mountain Division. After watching the biography 'Murph The Protector' I wrote the song 'That Guy' the same day. The biography 'Murph The Protector' is the story of Lt. Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL who died June 28th 2005 and is portrayed in the movie 'Lone Survivor.' I also dedicate the song to all the Military men/women, Law Enforcement officers, EMTs, Paramedics and anyone who puts on a uniform everyday to protect and serve the people of this great United States of America. I hope you enjoy the music as much as I enjoyed making it. These 12 songs were recorded in five, eight hour recording sessions. The band and I rented a house in the small town were I live in Nebraska. It was a trial by fire with all of us being amateurs to the process. I had recorded in Nashville in a professional studio back in the early 90's but none of my band members had done any prior recording. This was the sound engineers first full album recording as well. I was proud of all of us being able to accomplish what we did in the short amount of time we had to do it in. Brett Alan Schmitz.
