Product Description:

2012 two CD collection from the veteran Rock 'n' Roll star. Chubby Checker is widely known for popularizing the twist dance style, with his 1960 hit cover of the song 'The Twist'. Chubby Checker, born Ernest Evans, started to play music with his first band at the age of 11. When he later worked as a poulterer on the market, he always sang while working. One day he was discovered by a music producer who offered him a record deal at the Cameo label. With the release of the single 'The Twist' in 1960 (a b-side from Hank Ballard & the Midnighters) Checker's 'Twist', however, was a nationwide smash. Document.
