Product Description:

The Mikado or The Town of Titipu is a biting satire about the injustices prevalent in English society in the 1880s, albeit (insufficiently) cloaked in the disguise of a Japanese setting. It was so applicable that a London performance was banned in 1907! In 1885 however, the year the work enjoyed its premiere performance, Mikado was performed in around 150 theatres in Europe and America!
