In this cat-and-mouse thriller, Judd Hirsch does double-duty playing identical twin brothers: Harry, a recently released psychiatric patient bent on revenge; and Ben, an upstanding family-man who lives in constant fear of his unstable brother. After falsifying his own death, Harry pretends to be the "good brother" and maneuvers to get closer to Ben and his family to strike the final blow: murder. Even with a firm police report confirming Harry's death, Ben is convinced his evil twin is still alive. Ben dodges threats and stays one step ahead of the deadly scenarios Harry implements to ruin his life. A tragic event finally closes the door to a life of kill or be killed.
