OLDIES.com Description
The most celebrated flutist of his generation, Herbie Mann began his musical career playing clarinet and soon graduated to the tenor sax and flute. He changed directions yet again when he formed his Afro-Jazz Sextet in 1959, but perhaps his greatest contribution to American Music was his introduction of Brazilian music - especially the Bossa Nova - during the 1960s. The 1970s found Mann investigating the fusion of various genres including Rock, Pop, Reggae and Disco. Collectables is honored to present these Herbie Mann CDs.
