Speed Racer - The Next Generation: The Fast Track

The SPEED RACER characters originated in a Japanese anime series, titled MACH GOGOGO, from the late 1960s. The central character in SPEED RACER is Speed, a daredevil car driver whose agility behind the wheel is only matched by his impressive martial arts skills. This feature-length NEXT GENERATION movie--edited from three episodes of the series--is the second adventure revolving around a new set of characters in the SPEED RACER universe. Decades after when the original series took place, Speed Jr. spends his days with Lucy and Conor, his friends at the Racing Academy, and Chim-Chim, a robotic primate based on his father's old pet monkey. In THE FAST TRACK, Speed and the gang are preparing for the big-time Redwood Rally race when they realize something isn't quite right with the virtual track. An investigation gets them trapped in a surreal and disorienting virtual dimension from which they may never escape. This CG-animated adventure will please newcomers and age-old fans alike.
