Description by OLDIES.com:

Tim Richmond lived too fast, partied too hard and died too young. One of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers of all time, he was a natural behind the wheel and by 1986, Richmond had earned Co-Driver of the Year with Dale Earnhardt and seemed on course to become a superstar. But it wasn't only his on-track success that brought him attention from media & fans. Nicknamed “Hollywood,” Richmond was a flamboyant showman, a magnetic personality who often seemed to entertain an endless stream of female admirers.

When he unexpectedly withdrew from the racing circuit in 1987, rumors about his health and potential drug use spread. In reality, Richmond had been diagnosed with AIDS. He returned to the track in 1987 to brief success, but as his health deteriorated, he was forced to leave the sport for good.

Director Rory Karpf presents a glimpse inside the little known story of one of NASCAR's shooting stars.

Over 20 minutes of Bonus features include director's statements, deleted scenes and three extended interviews with Tim Richmond.
