This 1962 Vincente Minnelli-directed film was a remake of the 1921 silent film of the same name, which starred Rudolph Valentino and became one of the best grossing silent films of all-time. This version stars Glenn Ford as Julio Desnoyers, Charles Boyer and Julio's father, Ingrid Thulin as Marguerite Laurier and Yvette Mimieux as Gigi. The soundtrack score was composed by André Previn.
