Description by OLDIES.com:
An unforgettable religious classic, I Beheld His Glory tells the story of Cornelius the Centurion, one of the first Gentiles to convert to Christianity. Having been on duty the day Jesus made his journey up Mount Cavalry, Cornelius is moved by Christ's suffering on the Cross. Seeking out the Disciples, he learns firsthand of the power and glory of Jesus Christ, and vows never to turn his back on Him again.
First broadcast as part of Family Theatre on Easter 1953, I Beheld His Glory has been a staple of holiday programming ever since. It stars George Macready, ironically best known for playing despicable characters in several classic films. He was the third part of the love triangle in Gilda (1946), along with Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford, and was Kirk Douglas's nemesis General Mireau in Stanley Kubrick's anti-war film Paths of Glory (1957).
