Description by OLDIES.com:
Low-level street punk Tommy Olesen is brutally murdered. His brother Kelly, a former leg-breaker gone straight, shows up in town for the funeral. Knowing his old gang is responsible for Tommy's death, Kelly goes on a cold-blooded killing spree to have his revenge.
A hard-hitting film noir with a soundtrack by multiple Grammy Award winning jazz musician Bill Holman (renowned for his work with the Stan Kenton Orchestra) Get Outta Town went unfairly overlooked on the bottom of a double-bill with The Amazing Transparent Man (1960). Director Charles Davis was clearly influenced by John Cassavetes' Shadows (1959). Shot on location in Los Angeles, the cast includes producer Douglas Wilson (a TV actor with relatively few credits to his name) as Kelly Olesen, and Davis's wife Marilyn O'Connor as his love interest. The film was briefly re-released in 1964 as Gangster's Revenge.
