Description by OLDIES.com:
A young man about to executed for his Christian beliefs awaits his fate. He shares his prison cell with Peter the Apostle, who tells him the inspiring story of Jesus Christ's Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension to the right hand of God. The Power of the Resurrection stars Richard Kiley, the actor who originated the role of Don Quixote in the Broadway musical Man of La Mancha (1965). Later he would be a multiple Emmy-award winner for the TV mini-series The Thorn Birds (1983) and A Year in the Life (1986). Also featured are sci-fi movie regulars Robert Cornthwaite (The Thing from Another World, The War of the Worlds) and Morris Ankrum (Invaders from Mars, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers.) In addition, The Power of the Resurrection is the first onscreen appearance of Vic Tayback, beloved as Mel, the diner owner in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) and its long-running TV version, Alice (1976-1985).
