[Michael Winner] watched too many Fellini films and got only the grotesqueries out of them, and made The Sentinel not worth watching. Full Review

Not even actors this accomplished could save something so deranged from flying off the ever-loving rails in what amounts to a film that seems to have been pre-edited for television and maybe pre-edited for maximum stupidity. Full Review

Rating: 1/5 -- Although the script has potential, director Winner performs his usual hack job on the material--making the whole thing rather cheap and repugnant. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- The mystery is built in a satisfactory manner and, for better or worse, the frenzied finale pulls out all the stops. Full Review

The Sentinel is a grubby, grotesque excursion into religioso psychodrama, notable for uniformly poor performances by a large cast of familiar names and direction that is hysterical and heavy-handed. Full Review

The cast is certainly impressive, but in every other respect this horror in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist is a second-rate piece of tut. Full Review

Product Description:

Shortly after moving into a new apartment, a beautiful, young fashion model (Cristina Raines) discovers that it the building actually provides a gateway to hell! When she complains to her rental agent, she is met with stony silence, and soon comes to learn that her moving in was not an accident. Gruesome makeup makes this a memorable, mega-schlock horror film.
