The screwball follow-up to Brother Rat finds "Bing" Edwards (Eddie Albert) two years after graduating from Virginia Military Institute and up for a head coach position at his old alma mater against a fellow alum. On his way to New York to interview for the job, Bing is separated from his family after Commencement -- the "Baby" in the title -- swallows a diamond ring.
