Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 4/5 --
As a film it is almost impossible to place on the ideological spectrum...Yet, from the first few scenes of this crackpot endeavour, it becomes blatantly obvious that it might not even matter. Because it is funny. And it is good.

Times (UK)
3 stars out of 5 -- It’s a fun idea to gender-flip the premise of Nancy Meyers’ 2000 romcom WHAT WOMEN WANT, and a shrewd decision to recast the film’s protagonist as black....Cameos from Pete Davidson and 30 Rock’s Tracy Morgan are enjoyable...
The Guardian
Rating: 2.5/5 --
Taraji P.Henson is entertaining but is better than this material. The breakout star though is Erykah Badu.

KSTP-TV
Say this for Taraji P. Henson: when she commits to a role she commits to a role, and she is the primary reason why the cheerfully bawdy comedy WHAT MEN WANT is consistently funny and entertaining.
Chicago Sun-Times
3 stars out of 5 -- There’s a cosmic rightness to gender-swapping a Mel Gibson sexual politics comedy...
Empire
At the center of WHAT MEN WANT, Taraji P. Henson is a blazing ball of compressed energy...
Variety
Felt like it might have had some sharpness and some bite, but ended up being defanged.
