Product Description:

Raised in Boston, Benjamin Franklin moved to Philadelphia where he would become a prominent printer. Worldwide fame and respect was bestowed upon him for his discoveries in a new science, electricity. He would eventually be selected as the first ambassador to France during the American Revolution. This PBS portrait of the statesman also looks at his contributions to the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence and his opposition to slavery. Also included are many witticisms attributed to the documentary's subject.
