Entertainment Reviews:
I really enjoyed The Conjuring 2. It's a touch long at 2 hours and 14 minutes, but it starts off with a wonderful bang as we're dropped right into the Amityville fray. The fantastic camera work and creepy scenes sets the tone right away.

Cinema Axis
THE CONJURING 2 is a work of British kitchen-sink realism in the guise of a supernatural thriller: Call it Ken Loach’s POLTERGEIST or perhaps THE EXORCIST as imagined by a young Mike Leigh.
Los Angeles Times
4 stars out of 5 -- Like its predecessor, it’s exceedingly well crafted, relentlessly terrifying and boasts characters you actually root for.
The Guardian
Rating: 7/10 --
The Conjuring 2 is a fun, effective horror movie, and further emphasises the franchise generally as one ripe for sequels and spin-offs.

Rating: 4/5 --
The Conjuring 2 is a great sequel that although it doesn't reach the heights of the original, it makes up for it with its relentless pace, the committed cast, James Wan's directorial eye and a standout performance in Madison Wolfe.

What's entertaining here is that they leave the usual Amityville surroundings for a damp and mouldy council semi in Enfield, London, in 1977, where the Hodgson family is being plagued by a poltergeist.
