HeyUGuys
4 stars out of 5 -- The story is deftly told, with wit and momentum
Empire
3 stars out of 4 -- Cornish's gift for working with child actors is still apparent, as is his knack for dynamic action set pieces.
RogerEbert.com
3.5 stars out of 5 -- Cornish’s combo of reverence for an ’80s Spielberg sugar rush and irreverence regarding the self-seriousness that accompanies your Percy Jackson, Magnus Chase, et al. stories lights up the film like a sparkplug.
Rolling Stone
4 stars out of 5 -- [I]t’s a meaningfully relevant film....KID is often delightfully silly, while the contemporary setting allows for ample inventive twists on Arthurian iconography.

Product Description:
Writer-director Joe Cornish's family-friendly fantasy film puts a contemporary spin on the legend of King Arthur. An unexceptional English boy (Louis Ashbourne Serkis) pulls Excalibur from a rock and is informed by Merlin (Angus Imrie and Patrick Stewart) that he is destined to lead the charge against evil medieval enchantress Morgana le Fay's attempt to conquer the world.
