- "In The Soviet Union" was originally released in 1970 as Atlantic 1571. The album was recorded at the International Jazz Festival, "Tallinn 1967," Kalevi Sport Hall, Tallinn, Estonia, U.S.S.R. - May 14, 1967. Produced by George Avakian
- The personnel for both albums are: Charles Lloyd (tenor sax or flute), Keith Jarrett (piano), Ron McClure (bass), Jack DeJohnette (drums). All songs composed by Charles Lloyd except "Days And Nights In Waiting" composed by Keith Jarrett.

Player of both flute and tenor sax, Charles Lloyd had a varied career, playing with everyone from B.B. King and The Bobby Blue "Bland" Band early in his career to the Cannonball Adderley Sextet later on. He started his own quartet in 1966 which recorded steadily and toured often. These bestselling Atlantic albums are among Lloyd's classics, and feature heavyweights Keith Jarrett, Ron McClure and Jack DeJohnette.
